KevOnStage Las Vegas Concert reviews
"Get your money back at the door"
This show is not for devout KevOnStage fans like me, who own every cd and know most of the songs by heart. I was disappointed to see them in concert for the first time. KevOnStage themselves were amazing, but the problem with this show was the concept of their entire tour.
When the show started, Augustana, Spearhead, and KevOnStage were on stage singing together. The two opening acts played throughout the night, with KevOnStage hardly singing anything in the end. The concept of the tour was to introduce fans to different types of music and give equal stage time to Augustana and Spearhead. However, in practice, it was an utter failure.
Adam Duritz seems to be at a point in his career where he does whatever he wants without much concern for fans' enjoyment. The performers seemed to be having a great time, but the audience felt differently. It was disappointing for true KevOnStage fans. The final blow was when they sang "This Land is Your Land" as the finale.
I would have requested a refund if possible, as the concert did not improve and only got worse. KevOnStage played few songs off their new album and only a handful in total. Despite my disappointment, I still find inspiration in their music. I do not recommend this show to anyone, and I hope for a better tour in the future.
